Reminiscing on Miku Expo
07-10-2025
Ah, Vancouver Miku Expo 2024. The show where they adopted the LED screen, someone pissed on the floor, mismanaged the shit out of
everything merchandise and told the original band to go fuck itself.
This was the first concert I've ever gone to in my
entire life and, to date, is the only concert I've ever gone to. Now that it's been more than a year, I figured now is the time to
look back and think about the whole experience.
Considering the full course of shit nobody asked for, I still think this was
one of the best experiences of my entire life. I've always wanted to go to a concert in general and a Miku concert of all things
was one of the best first impressions for the standing in a crowd and watching other people more talented than me play instruments
experience. Even songs that I don't particularly like I found myself, as the kids would say, fucking with it heavy.
The LED
screen was a big letdown for... literally everyone. But I'm not really one to complain. A hologram would've been like, a million
times cooler. But still, seeing those characters dancing on stage and hearing the music alongside a slew of adoring fans was truly
special. I just wish they weren't sloshed out of their minds when deciding how merchandise would be handled. I'm genuinely sad
that the only souvenir I got was a ribbon that the floor got blasted with. I only got the purple one. Not even one of each colour.
Seriously, what the hell man?
Overall, this was still the best thing ever. Even with all the disappointing shit, I'm
extremely thankful that I got to experience this concert. I'm glad I got to listen to the music I love with a ton of fans and
watch animated robots dance their hearts out on stage.
PS, I did smell urine during that concert so I'm pretty sure the
rumours are true.
